      The short version: We collect only what we need to run Frequent Harvest. We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with third parties for marketing purposes. Ever.
    

1. Who we are

Frequent Harvest is a free marketplace connecting Georgia farmers and rural communities. We are operated by Michael Tucker, based in Loganville, Georgia. You can reach us at hello@frequentharvest.com.

2. What information we collect

When you create an account, we collect:

Your name
Your email address
Your password (stored as a secure encrypted hash — we cannot see your actual password)
Your county and state (Georgia)
Your user type (farmer, aspiring farmer, buyer, or retiring farmer)

When you use the platform, we also collect:

Listings you create — title, description, photos, price, and pickup information
Land posts you create
Messages you send to other users
Your mentor profile if you choose to create one
Profile information you voluntarily add — bio, phone number, profile photo

If you sign up for our waitlist before creating an account, we collect your name and email address only.

3. How we use your information

We use your information solely to operate Frequent Harvest:

To create and manage your account
To display your listings to other users
To deliver messages between users
To send you email notifications when someone messages you
To send you a welcome email when you sign up
To show your profile to other community members

We do not use your information for advertising. We do not build profiles for marketing purposes. We do not analyze your behavior to sell insights to third parties.

4. We do not sell your data

We will never sell, rent, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to any outside party. Your data belongs to you.

5. We do not share your data

We do not share your personal information with third parties except in the following limited circumstances:

Service providers: We use Supabase to store data securely and Namecheap to send emails. These providers process your data only to provide services to Frequent Harvest and are bound by their own privacy policies.
Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users and platform.

That's it. No advertisers. No data brokers. No marketing partners.

6. Photos and public listings

When you create a listing, the information you provide — including photos, title, description, price, and county — is visible to all Frequent Harvest users. Please only include information you are comfortable sharing publicly.

7. Messages

Messages between users are private and visible only to the sender and recipient. We do not read your messages except when required to investigate reported violations of our community guidelines.

8. Data security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information. Passwords are encrypted using bcrypt. Data is stored on secure servers. Communication is encrypted via SSL/TLS.

No system is 100% secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at hello@frequentharvest.com.

9. Your rights

You have the right to:

Access the personal information we hold about you
Correct inaccurate information in your profile
Delete your account and all associated data
Export your data

To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@frequentharvest.com and we will respond within 5 business days.

10. Account deletion

You can request deletion of your account at any time by emailing hello@frequentharvest.com. We will delete your account and all associated personal information within 30 days. Note that messages you have sent to other users may remain visible to those users.

11. Children's privacy

Frequent Harvest is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at hello@frequentharvest.com.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and notify registered users by email of any significant changes.
